Kauri and Toma's Monkey in Space

On the 31st of November 2015. I went on a rocket and they counted down from 10 to 0.

My heart was pumping 20km a hour I was scared nervous you called tell because my face was going red and I was heating up like I was in a 100 degree oven. They counted 10 to 0, ‘BLAST OFF!’ I went. I was scared but it was a safe travel up to the moon.

When I landed on the moon I put my astronaut suit on it was cold inside of my suit.

Then I walked out the rocket and jumped. ‘Wow’ I couldn't believe it I jumped so high, and as soon as I landed on the rocky and  dusty moon, I would leave a footprint.

I the most amazing part I saw on the moon is I called see the earth from here.

I keep bouncing around everywhere it was so cool.

I have been on the moon for 2 weeks it was a good and fun experience.

I traveled back home in the rocket then all of a sudden the rocket ran out of gas.

I couldn't fly it or do nothing, luckily I saw a parachute and jumped out of the rocket and waited to I was close to the earth then equipped my parachute. My heart was pumping very hard like I was going to die.

Then I finally saw smooth grass and landed on it.

It looked like I was in Texas so I asked a guy in this restaurant and he said yes this is texas but he had a funny feeling on his face.

Then I asked can I live with him then I said I just visited this country can I live with you…

He said yes I was happy and we lived happily ever after.

Athletics Day T4W7

Introduction: On the 20th of November Tamaki Primary School had Athletics day.

First I saw Bright house colours around me they were chanting like 20 million alarms going off around New Zealand. It was so loud it almost blowed my air drums.

I was shouting out my Chant and my throat was irritating.

I saw a rainbow dragon flying around the bike track like it was blowing out fire from its mouth.

I could see kids feeling nervous when they were about to run it was like a lion trying to get the prey when they took off.

Everywhere were rainbow kids no matter where they were even the parents supported the kids colours and houses.

Lucky there was a gazebo so the kids could have shade and so they don't get cooked like a burnt sausage.

I could feel the hot gleaming blooming sun burning my body.

It was a exhausting day for the kids. Then Miss Kyla said on the crackling loud microphone it is lunch time.

Everybody was screaming. “Yay” and ran of the the sausage sizzle which was in the hall. It smelt like it was burning and the Ice block melting.

My beautiful Mum gave me money to buy a sausage sizzle and a  Ice Block. I gave some money to my brother and he brought him one to. Then it was the final races.

It was still hot, it was time for the relays. It was the juniors up the ran like hell but my house team dropped the baton twice and that made us lose the junior one.

Then it was time for the senior one. Petra ran as fast as she can like no one could stop her. Then gave it to someone else, Then Someone else.

Tobruk were in the lead, Jason was running to beat my house which is Tripoli. Brandon got the baton and off he went chasing down Jason like Brandon was trying to catch his Prey.

Then Tobruk won.

It was an exhausting day for all the houses and teachers.

Tripoli lost by 300 points.  

1st Place Tobruk, Second Place Alamein, Third Place Tripoli, Last Place Benghazi.

Maybe we will win next time.

Then we lived happily ever after.

This is my Imagination recount of "WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THE SUN DIDN'T RISE"

When I woke up from a deep deep sleep. I blinked and blinked again it felt like I was in a dream.

I thought I was imagining stuff around me. Then I opened the curtain expecting that there is going to be a beautiful sun rise. But there was a problem. My neighbours outside pointed up and said there is no sun. I got changed into my uniform then put on my converses and got ready to go to school. When I walked out of the door…

I saw my friend Toma.  He looked frightened.  “Where do you think the sun has gone?”  He cried.  I shook my head and said “I don’t know!  But I am freezing!”  Toma said “I’m going to go back home.  This is too freaky.”  I tried to continue on my journey to school, but...

It was spooky and dark like super super super tinted windows all around me.

I couldn't see anything around me. Then I arrived at school there was no one there, No kids, No teachers they probably thought it was still nighttime and I  was even more scared. My heart was pumping 20 km per hour I was shaking like I was cold. So I made my way back to home walking down the street. Then I suddenly fell over a piece of wood and grazed my knee.

It was sore but I had to make my way home without moaning.

Finally I made my way home safely but not thinking of how I fell over the wood.

I walked in my door and took of my uniform and shoes then run me a bath.

When the bath was finished I went in it and my graze on my knee was stinging.

Then I finished the bath and went to sleep at 9.30pm.

The next day the sun rises up and I was happy and my whole neighbourhood were impressed too.

Then I put my uniform on and converses and said to myself…

      IT’S JUST A NEW DAY!!

MY PRACTICE RECOUNT

Last Tuesday our class got to go out and play on the bike’s. I went down in the elevator with my friend. It was as white as the clouds. And it is as slow as a elephant.

First the bike monitors had to get the bikes out and then we had to get a helmet. We had to get a helmet which is tight on our head and so it doesn't fall off and it is a good protection for your head.

Me and my friends, Toma,Gary,Tevita and Kanye grabbed a helmet and off we went riding around the bike track. We play a game which is, there is a robber and the rest is cops. Gary was the robber he had to chase us on the bikes and if he is close enough to the next person they are in and have to catch the other people.

It was long and tiring but if we were tired we said pause and lucky there is a water tap so we could get a drink. Then we decided to not play it anymore because it got kind of boring.

Then the teacher said 2 more minutes so we got back on our bikes and went around the bike track as fast as we could so we can do as much laps as possible before we have to get off. Then time was up and we had to get off.

The bike monitors had to pack all of  the bikes back into the container and spray the helmets with disaffected spray.

I told the teacher if I could help put away the bikes she said YES!!.

When I walked in the container it smelt like brand new shoes when you first buy them.

Finally we finished packing the bikes where it belongs. Then we walked up and went back in the elevator it was slow like a turtle then went back to class and carried on with our work. And then it was time to go home. When I got home I played on my scooter and when I finished playing I went inside and watched youtube with my brother

My FM morning crew meets TPS

Today,we had a Duffy role model assembly. Our role models were Nate and Lily from the Mai Fm morning show. Two key messages I learned were.... My Two Messages I learned reading and travelling helps you learn about other cultures and places. And If you read a lot it will help you learn more, and if you learn more, you will have more options in your life.

I admired the way Lily said I you work hard and keep reading books while you grow older you will get passed University.

I admired the way Nate said it is good to balance games like don't play that much game time but you can but not to much cause you still have to do homework.

Today we had Adam from Sommerville come and join us for Art! We were making shark art, after reading "The Great White Man-Eating Shark" by Margaret Mahy. Adam really enjoyed doing Art with us. He was going to stay for five minutes but he ended up staying for half an hour! We loved having Adam with us. He is now part of or Room 9 family

T	Last saturday was when we went to watch Ellerslie eagles. We walked to the entry and we had to pay $8 for kids and $10 for Adults.
R	Then we brought hot chips and drinks then sat down and watched the other ellerslie teams play. Unfortunately they did come home with a win.
E	Finally the game started my heart was pumping. I was nervous and I had goosebumps.
E	After that the score was 18 to both teams then the game went into golden point. I was yelling loud and I was losing my voice. Then the Te Atatu roosters went for a drop kick and missed. We got the ball and made heaps of meters. They were in the Te Atatu roosters 20. The hooker gave it to the wing and he ran and ran and dived at the try line the everybody cheered and we were happy then they got there medal and had photos. They went to the changing rooms and one the ellerslie boys said I rather be a Eagle then a rooster then we lived happily ever after.
